First, you should leave the bandage on for 4 to 12 hours. Then when you are ready to take your bandage off, gently peel the bandage off; if it feels stuck, wet the bandage under a shower and let it fall off on its own. Then wash the tattoo with a mild antibacterial soap with your hand; pat it dry with a clean paper towel , then put a very, very thin layer of ointment on the tattoo. We recommend A & D ,bacitracin, or Neosporin Ointment. Put the ointment on 4 to 5 times a day and wash it once a day. Don't pick or scratch your tattoo. Don't soak your tattoo any body of water (bath ,pool, jacuzzi, lake or ocean) but showering is fine. Once the tattoo has peeled you may switch to a dry skin lotion such as Vaseline intensive care, Curel, or Lubriderm.
