~ Will it hurt? It really depends on the area being tattooed and the person; everyone’s pain tolerance is different so we can’t say what it will be like for you.
~ Does it bleed? Yes, but generally very, very little. It only bleeds a lot when you have consumed alcohol or aspirin prior to getting tattooed.
~ What are the requirements for getting tattooed? What is your policy regarding tattooing minors? Anyone 18 and older must provide photo ID (driver's license, current passport, military ID, or state issued ID). We tattoo minors 16 and up, providing that a parent or legal guardian is present. The minor needs to have a birth certificate AND photo ID (driver's license, school ID, current passport); the parent MUST have a photo ID and the last names must match. If the last names do not match, legal documentation showing name change or legal guardianship must be provided. We WILL NOT tattoo anyone under the age of 16--no exceptions!
~ How much will it cost? Our minimum is $60 and our hourly rate is $125 per hour. We DO NOT give out pricing on tattoos through email, Myspace or over the phone. For wording we do not price by the letter. If you want to know how much your specific tattoo will cost, you will have to speak with an artist in person.
~ Can you design a tattoo for me? Yes, but there is a $20 non-refundable cash deposit and we only design tattoos for those whom we are actually tattooing.
~ Can I email you or send you a link to my design? No! Please bring a printed copy of your design or ideas with you to your consultation. After an appointment has been made, it may be possible for you to email ideas with the artist, but you must discuss that with the artist. We do not have an email address for the shop.

~ Do you accept walk-ins or do I need to make an appointment? We do accept walk-ins when there is space available, but there is no guarantee that an artist will be available. If you know you want to come in on a specific day or want a large piece, please make an appointment to hold your spot.
~ Is it safe? Yes. We tattoo in sterile environments and take every precaution to keep you safe. Gloves are worn during the entire process. Our needles and ink cups are single use only, and our equipment is autoclaved to kill all pathogens. All artists have taken extensive training in sterilization and prevention of cross-contamination.
~ How should I care for my new tattoo? Can I get it wet? Can I go in the sun or tanning? First, you should leave the bandage on for 4 to 12 hours. Then, when you are ready to remove your bandage, gently peel the bandage off; if it feels stuck, wet the bandage under a shower and let it fall off on its own. Then, using your hand, wash the tattoo with a mild antibacterial soap and pat it dry with a clean paper towel. Next, put a very, very thin layer of ointment on the tattoo; we recommend A & D Ointment. Put the ointment on 4 to 5 times a day and wash it once a day. Once the tattoo has peeled you may switch to a dry skin lotion such as Vaseline Intensive Care, Curel, or Lubriderm, making sure that it is fragrance free.
Don't pick or scratch your tattoo. Don't soak your tattoo in any body of water (bath, pool, jacuzzi, lake or ocean); showering is fine. Do not go in the sun or tanning while the tattoo is healing-- wait out the full 2-3 weeks. Once it is healed, make sure to use sunscreen to help prevent fading and burning/peeling skin. We can’t stress enough how important it is!

~ Will dramatic weight loss/gain or pregnancy affect my tattoo? Generally, your skin will stretch with you. Depending on its elasticity it may or may not go back to the way it was.
~ Do you use black light ink? No. There are no proven studies that it’s safe, so we’d rather not mess with it.
~ Do you offer apprenticeships? No.
